The National Institute for Research and Development in Constructions, Urban Planning and Sustainable Spatial Development – URBAN-INCERC was established through the Decision no. 1398 from November 18, 2009, published in the Official Gazette no. 816 of November 27, 2009.

The present institute, named shortly INCD URBAN-INCERC is the continuator of the prestigious experience of the National Institute of Research-Development in Constructions and Constructions’ Economics – INCERC Bucharest, of the National Institute of Research-Development for Urban Planning and Land Development – URBANPROIECT Bucharest, as well as of the National Center for Research-Development and Documentation for Constructions, Architecture, Urbanism and Land Development – CDCAS, and of the National Center for the Reduction of Seismic Risk – CNRRS.

Activities:

• Research-development activities of public interest in construction, urban planning, sustainable land development and living fields, which include: fundamental and applicative researches – sector oriented and pre-normative, for substantiation of the technical and economic regulations specific for the activity fields;
• Information and information / specific data dissemination activities, by organizing, operation and development of a specialized information office for the activity fields of INCD URBAN-INCERC;
• Activities resulting from the quality of certification organism for construction products, management systems and organism for factory production inspection.
